The final task for students in Professor Krochmal's JRNL80 class is to take the websites and videos produced and prepare a streamcast to present the videos to the world.

The videos are all local news, relevant to the communities that surround the Hempstead, NY, campus of Hofstra University.

The students have spent the semester learning and using emerging Internet technology for reporting, culminating in the production of a 2-minute edited online video report as well as a text story, interview transcriptions, curated links, and a production memo.

The next step is taking the 2-minute videos each student has produced and using them as the backbone for a news streamcast. This is where we will track the progress of the students as they move to completing this class by the exam period with a production of the live streamcast.
There are two teams working on this:
JRNL80A and JRNL80B, with approximately 40 students.

Each class is setting up its  own structure, tasks and project management with a goal of creating the work by the end of the semester.
